Dyno Numbers

No Tony I'm don't think my car is badass and I am happy with the numbers. Jim told me that he could get even more power out of it if I wanted him to, just to have a dyno sheet to show ALOT of power. All I wanted was for the car to run safe, and it is, like a factory boosted car. We will make much more power later on when I go back down to retune with nitrous control on the Hondata.

I recall Jim and I having this conversation about when I posted these #'s on here, who would be the FIRST to reply to the post. Me and him said your name at the same time, and I expected to get flamed by you. I'm happy with the #'s and that's all that matters.

BTW Tony, you would have been in Rustang heaven if you saw the mustangs down there. Not one of them besides the new '03 Cobra had LESS that 500-600HP. Owner of the dyno had a 20psi 800HP mustang that looked like a total sleeper besides the HUGE front mount. Great trip all together, and hope to go down again real soon.

I never had a flame FOR you, i merely asked a question and hoped to get a logical answer back. I proceeded to be cussed and called out in the same post. All i wanted was a answer, nothing technical....

And ill stick to autox/RR'ing......i dont feel as safe adding over 100hp to stock FORD product like i did the Acura [img]graemlins/angel.gif[/img]

Actually, there was an interesting phenomenon that occurred on the dyno with Mike's car...

The A/F numbers under WOT came really fast, so I decided to tune in the method that Doug @ Hondata recommends... which is to move the VTEC crossover up to 7500 rpm... get the low map A/F at 12.2:1, move the VTEC crossover down to 3000 rpm... get the high map A/F to 12.2:1... and then move the actual VTEC crossover point to where the graphs cross. By doing this, Mike's car actually lost about 13 lbs/ft at peak. His torque numbers in the early runs were 165 lbs/ft.

I will be talking with Doug on Monday to see if other additional changes need to be made to compliment this tuning technique.

No, bitching and moaning and making excuses is what people do best here in Knoxville. Its taken till now to do with Honda, what i did 4 years ago street tires. It just never ends, its always something.....

Granted imma DICK, but there are some things that i know work and what DOESNT work.

Around here it takes AWD and TURBO to see 8 second 1/8th's on a normal basis. CROM, you should goto this Thursday night import night up here if you ever feel like gettin outta your out-house state of Vagina, i mean Virgina. Youd be soo impressed with the modded up, turbo'd, NOS'd cars runnin mid 9's. Its a beautiful thing.
